The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $40.00 - $50.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. Performs work individually under limited supervision or in a team environmentPerforms work by standard operating procedures and from complex instructions and proceduresUndertake routine maintenance of relevant plant and equipment by scheduled requirements in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms non-trade tasks incidental to the workFollow safe work practices including but not limited to lock out / tag out and isolation techniquesUnderstands and implements quality control techniquesDemonstrate personal responsibility for all Safety, Health, Environment, Community, and Sustainability (SHECS) policies, procedures, and initiativesResponsible for completing assigned preventative maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting and repairing machinery to minimize production loss and downtime, and participating in projects and new installations as neededOccasionally serves as the point of contact for electrical contractors on larger projectsTroubleshoots 480 / 240 / 120 Vac and 230 Vdc motor control circuits, lighting, and resistive heating circuitsTests electrical systems and circuit continuity in wiring, equipment, and fixtures using appropriate testing devices and meters to measure conductors and components of electrical circuitsInstalls and mounts electronic controls, device panels, sensors, and components, along with associated conduit and wiringInterlocks wiring as necessaryReplaces variable speed drives on equipment and repairs damaged cablesReplaces and wires electronic components as requiredAssists in replacing motors and other electrical componentsSizes, bends and installs new conduit runsQualifications
Up to 8 years of experience as a journeyman or licensed electricianHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical work requiredValid electrician license or certification as required by state or local regulationsStrong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentsAbility to troubleshoot and solve complex electrical problemsAssociate Requirements
