Responsibilities : POSITION SUMMARY :

The Jr. Estimator will provide and / or coordinate all support services to the Sr. Estimators associated with the preparation of bids and proposals.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Bid setup, summary form data entry, and bid scheduling.

Review and incorporate historical data from productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures.

Provide take-off and technical support to Sr. Estimators preparing larger estimates.

Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.

Heavy Bid maintenance (labor, crew, activity, and bid master codebooks).

Solicit, document, and analyze subcontractor / vendors quotations.

Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.

Provide award related submittals.

Assist the contracting team during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required.

Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction.

Qualifications : QUALIFICATIONS :

Education and experience requirements include B.S. Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering and / or equivalent combinations technical training and / or related experience.

Cost estimating curriculum preferred.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

SOFTWARE SKILLS :

Microsoft Office applications

Trimble or CADD experience a plus

Scheduling software / CPM (including Primavera and MS Project)

Familiarity with cloud-based software solutions

Reports to : Director of Pre-Construction and Estimating
