The normal schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts - though weekend overtime may be required occasionally.

Afternoon Shift : 2 : 00 PM / 3 : 00 PM to 10 : 00 PM / 11 : 00 PM

Pay Rate : $26.00 - $33.09 per hour

Position Overview :

Canton Drop Forge, a leading producer of large, closed die forgings in Canton, Ohio, is seeking Mechanical Repair Persons in our Maintenance Department.

Key Responsibilities :

• Mechanical service pipefitting and welding.
• Installs machinery and equipment according to blueprints.
• Dismantles machines and moves machinery and equipment and fastens them to foundations or other structures.
• Layout, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems, pipe supports and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Welds metal parts or components of parts using gas welding or electrical arc-welding equipment to repair, strengthen or fabricate.
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
• Performs ongoing preventative maintenance, overchecks, and equipment inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.
