Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Spruce Pine, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a secure environment for all personnel. Your visible presence and routine patrols will support a positive atmosphere while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or access.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and / or client representatives.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential incidents.
  • Assist with access control procedures for employees, visitors, and vehicles entering or exiting the location.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, hazards, and / or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
  • Support emergency response efforts as directed by Allied Universal management and / or client protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
