Job Title : Registered Dental Assistant (PRN / As Needed)
Location : Hopkins, MN 55343
Duration : 4 Years (PRN assignment - as needed based on business needs)
Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dental Assistant to join our clinical team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This role supports dental practitioners by delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with procedures, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are ready.
- Welcome, seat, and comfort patients before and during procedures.
- Assist dentists during procedures by sterilizing and passing instruments, suctioning, and positioning equipment.
- Prepare, mix, and place dental materials as directed.
- Take and process radiographs, pour / trim study casts, and polish casts as needed.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and clean / polish removable appliances.
- Assist with managing dental / medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency supplies, and updated contact lists.
- Provide patients with education on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-treatment care.
- Accurately chart and document services provided.
- Maintain compliance with infection control standards and safety protocols.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Stay current with dental practices through continuing education and professional development.
- Support team operations and contribute to overall practice success by completing additional tasks as assigned.
Required Education & Experience :
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program, orAt least 1 year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.Certifications & Licensure :
