We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager / Supervisor to oversee key financial operations within our organization in Battle Creek, Michigan. This role is vital to ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, compliance with audit standards, and the development of sound financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, leadership, and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities :

• Lead month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Manage the preparation and coordination of financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Review and approve journal entries to maintain accuracy and consistency in financial records.
• Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and skill enhancement.
• Implement and promote continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen, to optimize financial operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
• Maintain a strong understanding of automotive industry-specific accounting practices and standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits and associated compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry review.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in developing and managing teams.
• Knowledge of Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Prior experience in the automotive or machinery manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
