Branch Manager - In Training

Johnstone Supply is seeking a dynamic results-driven Branch Manager to join our team. The individual will provide leadership and support across multiple branch locations. This is a in training role and once a role opens in the respective market this individual will be placed with a branch.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Branch Manager- In Training include, but are not limited to :

  • Establish, communicate, and models performance expectations for all team members
  • Ensures team members have the knowledge and skills to perform their jobs
  • Ensures performance expectations are met by monitoring reports, gathering feedback from customers, and observing performance
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records, store operational records, documentation, and employee performance files

Customer Sales and Service

  • Ensures customers receive prompt, professional service both in person and over the phone while working directly with customers
  • Manages counter sales transactions and ensures that team members increase sales through add on and suggestive selling techniques
  • Works to support outside and inside sales activity, develops / implements sales programs and promotions
  • Ensures customer complaints and disputes are resolved in a timely, professional manner
  • Follow up on sales leads and inquiries to generate additional business

    • Business Management and Financial Success

  • Establish sales and profitability goals for the store
  • Oversee customer returns, warranty processes, and balancing customer requests with company guidelines
  • Control store operational costs, including labor, supplies, utilities, etc. to ensure overall store profitability

    • Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer interactions, and inventory movements
  • Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and phone / email correspondence

    • General Results and Responsibilities

  • Adheres to and enforces all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
  • May represent Johnstone Supply at trade associations and events

    • Qualifications

    Required :

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • People management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computers and different software programs
  • Must be able to bend, stand, reach, pull, lift, and carry items up to 75 pounds

    • Preferred :

  • 5+ years of management experience

    • Desired :

  • HVAC or similar industry experience
