Database Administrator III

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable engineer to join our enterprise hardware and infrastructure team. This role focuses on managing the full hardware lifecycle, supporting cloud and on-premise deployments, and enabling seamless infrastructure provisioning.

Overview : The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in hardware engineering, experience with Oracle technologies, and a working knowledge of automation tools like Ansible.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead server builds and manage hardware procurement for enterprise datacenters
• Oversee budgeting and planning for hardware refresh cycles
• Track and manage asset lifecycle, including decommissioning and end-of-service transitions
• Support operating system refreshes and ensure compliance with lifecycle policies
• Collaborate with Oracle teams to onboard hardware for storage and database deployments
• Assist in deploying and managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Exadata environments
• Work closely with teams to support customer-facing cloud deployments
• Participate in virtual machine migrations and cluster builds
• Utilize Nebula pipeline and Ansible for infrastructure automation (high-level understanding required)
• Contribute to the team's goal of becoming a one-stop shop for provisioning and infrastructure services
