Job Summary
Provide technical evaluation, specification of work scope and required documentation for tooling repairs and upgrades. Provide support to technicians to ensure that technical and quality requirements are met and delivered within the lead-time and on due dates agreed to with customers. Thriving for customer satisfaction is a key attribute for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed evaluations for repairs, upgrades, and BER (Beyond Economical Repair) based on OEM requirements as documented on drawings.Document detailed work scope for completion of repairs or upgrades identified as part of the evaluation.Working with technical team to obtain additional OEM requirements.Create work order routers to specify disassembly, repair, machining, outside-service, assembly, and testing.Specify quality requirements for components manufactured, and for final inspection upon completion, and all required documentation prior to shipping.Direct technicians on troubleshooting, testing, maintenance and repairs for tooling and equipment.Assist in identifying on-hand inventory requirements for tooling components.Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.5+ years related professional experience in tooling / support equipment, Aviation maintenance or Aviation field service preferred (technical experience required).Computer literacy includes Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems.Ability to multitask, good organizational skills.Self-motivation, strong attention to detail, and accuracy.Ability to read and fully understand tool drawings from an engineering and functional perspective.Ability to read and fully understand aviation engine, aircraft and general procedure manuals.Skills pertaining to mechanical evaluations and repairs of a wide range of equipment.Physical condition of the candidate should allow them to perform manual labor and tasks for up to 8 hours during the day if required.Ability to do minor repairs on tools.Travel may be required occasionally within the USA for customer visits, team building and training events.Ability to interact effectively at various levels within the customer's organization.Benefits
