Security Guard - Transportation Patrol Leader

As a Security Guard - Transportation Patrol Leader in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol transportation-focused locations to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all. Your visible presence and routine patrols will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to those you encounter. Pay Rate : $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Tue 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Thur 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Sat 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Sun 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel or authorities as required.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and interactions as directed by Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and reporting any irregularities.
  • Collaborate with transportation staff and / or law enforcement as needed to address issues that arise during patrols or incidents.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
