Job Description

As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol Specialist in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and tenants, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming environment, responding to situations as they arise, and supporting a culture built on teamwork, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order within the retail or mall environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the business interior and surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials when required, and assisting with crowd management as needed.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, such as evacuations or medical incidents, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to tenants, employees, and visitors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
