Maintenance Associate — Independence Village of Columbus

Position Summary : As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair duties. This position requires the ability to work different shifts, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours outdoors in different weather conditions. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful. You will take on a rewarding position with an innovative company where hard work pays off and advancement is always a possibility.

Required Experience for Maintenance Associate

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous maintenance experience.
• Must possess good handyman skills and good working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills.
• Familiarity with common tools.
• Familiarity with common repair techniques.
• Must have good organizational skills and a good working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical skills.
• Must be able to perform general maintenance duties such as plumbing, carpentry, furniture, electrical and appliance repairs.

General Working Conditions

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and push / pull equipment frequently. The employee is expected to possess good organization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The employee must be compassionate and empathetic. The employee will occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may frequently bend, reach, grasp, and climb. The employee may need to squat and kneel. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
