Basic Function :
Manage and develop the assigned product range & product strategy providing support and guidance, to life-cycle management and strategic pricing. Support product related growth and profitability initiatives. Develop digital offering and support digitalization initiatives within WIBU.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities :
- Single point of contact accountable for the assigned product ranges and the served applications, contributing to product related growth and profitability initiatives
- Develop overarching product strategy for the assigned product ranges, delivering product plans based on solid understanding of markets, regulatory and competitor trends, customer insights and technology developments.
- Identify and evaluate product gaps and propose in cooperation with team of portfolio and product managers new PD projects based on supported business cases and defined priorities.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure performance (sales, OI, margins) for the assigned product ranges and define counter measures where necessary.
- Initiate and / or support implementation of agreed strategic initiatives to reach growth and profitability targets
- Accountable for life-cycle management of the assigned product ranges including phase-in and out of products and delivery of necessary internal and external communication.
- Support the definition of global value-based pricing for products and spares, cooperating with the dedicated pricing teams, including pricing revisions and analysis
- Monitor market pricing and internal cost development and taking any necessary mitigation actions
- Ensure alignment with key stakeholders including product line managers, sales, marketing and operations as well as for external associations and subject matter experts
- Accountable for technical content for promotion materials and for internal / external product pages. Provide and coordinate product trainings
- Develop digital offering, products and services in cooperation with PD, IT and Sales.
- Develop BU wide product knowledge and selection tools in collaboration with Marketing, Sales and IT
Education :
Required : Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience & Skills :
9+ years relevant experience.Broad experience of products and technology for the Water and Industry BU markets (e.g. customer needs, applications served, product requirements, competition)Good leadership, marketing and communication skills and capability to work in a global multi-cultural environmentCo-operational skillsHands on approach and attitudeWillingness to travel internationallyWhat we offer you :
