About the Role :
We are looking for a Staffing Manager. In this multi-purpose leadership role, you will own both recruiting and training for all plants in Lafayette. Creating a collaborative team environment and a strong candidate-oriented culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality candidates to business. The Staffing Manager will focus in three key areas : 1) Full cycle recruiting for all sites across Lafayette, 2) Training and onboarding for all new hires, 3) Development of relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to build long term partnerships. Successful candidates will be a strategic and analytical thinker who can see around corners and demonstrate a passion for process improvement, candidate experience and onboarding process improvement. You will manage an organization of Staffing Specialists and the Training team (lead by a Training Supervisor).
Your Responsibilities :
- Strong understanding of HR Laws and compliance requirements
- Develops strong relationships and partners with managers, business leaders and HR
- Tracks and reports key metrics designed to measure and predict recruiting process
- Leads and / or manages courageously during organizational change; takes appropriate risks and energizes and encourages others to do so in order to achieve company goals and priorities
- Incorporates Lean Management techniques within HR by evaluating the efficiency, effectiveness and value add of various programs and processes
- Engages and influences senior leaders in strategic staffing discussions, challenges current thinking, influences outcomes and leads change in behaviors
- Identifies, creates, and implements change management initiatives to proactively support key business initiatives
- Supports the communication of recruiting initiatives, removing barriers and participating in continuous improvement activities as needed to raise the bar
- Actively participates and partners with organizations and events within the community to exercise and promote good relationships and reach new candidates
- Provides leadership to the staffing and training teams
- Through a highly effective recruiting process, maintains and enhances a productive work environment
- Maintains standard operating procedures for recruiting activities
- Other duties as assigned
Let's Talk About Your Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred Major : Business, Human Resources, or other related field)Demonstrate clear understanding of the full-cycle recruitment lifecycle processes for production employeesA clear and contemporary understanding of all HR functions : recruitment, compensation and benefits, leadership and management development, organizational effectiveness, and employee relationsMust be highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge of State and Federal regulationsDemonstrate learning agility; should demonstrate the ability to proactively identify and implement innovative recruitment / process solutionsDemonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate proficiency in strategy development, plan and / or program design and implementation skills that attract, retain, and motivate employees, appropriately manage risk and maximize the profitability of the businessAnalytical skillsAt 5 years' experience of hourly staffing / recruitment experience in a high volume / demand environment3 to 5 years of direct supervisory / management experience, including employee coaching, mentoring, and developingManufacturing experienceProven track record of successfully implementing large scale / systemic change efforts across an organizationLeadership Attributes :
