Staking Engineer

Cuivre River Electric Cooperative is Missouri's largest electric distribution cooperative, located in Troy, Missouri. We are now hiring a Staking Engineer. You would be joining a team whose purpose is to design, expand, and update CREC facilities under the direction of the System Engineer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Plot and stake lines for electric service extensions and prepare required staking sheets.
• Assist the Right of Way Specialist to procure easements necessary to cover CREC facilities.
• Inspect existing facilities for maintenance needs. Prepare staking sheets as necessary for repair and replacement.
• Meet and coordinate with Owners, Developers, Civil Engineers to coordinate needs and requirements of new overhead or underground extension of facilities for new commercial or residential developments.
• Keep informed on Cooperative policies, procedures, codes, specifications, rates, and legal requirements pertaining to facility planning.
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the Cooperative's discretion.
