Job Description
Summary
This role will serve as the primary finance contact for their business partner. The role supports the period and quarterly close process through internal reporting and analysis of financial results. This role drives the annual budget process, ongoing forecast, and the analysis and reporting of key business metrics. This individual will report to the Manager of Finance and will work cross-functionally across several key areas of the business. This role demands the individual to analyze and clearly communicate issues while providing recommendations / solutions.
Responsibilities & Duties
Financial & Key Metric Reporting
- Lead preparation of the annual budget and flash scenarios
- Analyze and regularly report department progress against budget & flash with key stakeholders
- Provide updates to divisional forecasts on a quarterly basis
- Generate reports and presentations summarizing forecasts, performance analysis, and recommendations for management review and decision-making
Store Development
Evaluate profit expectations and financial payback of new corporate and franchisee owned storesLead period financial review of new store financial performance, including new development concepts.Review all franchise new build and purchase applications for creditworthiness and long-term financial viabilityLead analysis to guide creation / revision of store growth programs, including revenue, capital cost, NPV, IRR, paybackManage KPIs for new programs & strategiesQualifications
Bachelor's degree is required3-5 years relevant work experience preferably within financeDemonstrates strong financial knowledge and analytical skillsDemonstrates high level of discretion and confidentiality in their workAbility to independently manage multiple projects and guide prioritiesAbility to communicate financial information to operational audiences from business consultants and development analysts to Executive Vice President levels and partner across various finance disciplines such as accounting, tax and audit to support operational and financial initiativesBuilds effective business partnerships and provides thought leadership to operational executivesAbility to communicate financial information to various audiencesAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft ExcelExperience with Hyperion, SQL, PowerBI and Peoplesoft (preferred)Additional Information
