Compensation : $22- 26 per hour DOE

Why we need you and what you will be responsible for :
With record backlog and high demand for our amazing boats, we need to add to our awesome Team of Employee Owners to help us keep up! Under supervision and leadership from our Master Craftspeople, this position will be responsible for the installation of electrical, mechanical, and propulsion components on SAFE Boats products.
What you will do / work performed :
The installation of electrical and mechanical components on SAFE Boats products.Installs outboard motors or inboard diesel engines and jet drives, along with associated cables and wiringInstalls fuel systems and filters.Fabricates and installs main and auxiliary wiring harnesses.Installs, interfaces and connects a variety of components such as lights, radios, radar, sonar, heating and air conditioning systems, auxiliary generators, GPS, chart plotters, etc.Core skills we are looking for :
Thorough understanding of 12V dc electrical systems, including crimping, soldering and basic trouble shooting using multi meter.Ability to layout, build and install subsystems from schematics, including development of part list ordering parts, assembling components and testing.Understanding of gasoline and / or diesel powerplants, including basic automotive mechanical skillsFamiliar with general shop safety procedures and operation of hand / pneumatic tools.Understanding of ABYC standards desired.Mil-Spec electrical systems and components experience desiredBasic math and measurement capabilitiesStrong communication skills- both active listening and relaying of information to othersCritical Thinking and problem-solving abilitiesRequired Experience & Education :
High School Diploma (GED / High School Equivalence Certificate)One year of experience in a related field or education equivalentPhysical Requirements :
Lift to 40 lbs.Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasksMust be able to work at heights and / or confined spacesForklift and scissor lift operationsAll new hires are subject to pre-employment drug screenings, background checks, and E-Verify, according to federal law.
