Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT) is a consulting firm with engineers, planners, and other design professionals and is actively seeking to fill a full-time position in our Columbus or Cincinnati, OH office. The selected candidate will demonstrate leadership, the ability to work as part of a team or independently, a capacity to learn new skills, and a desire to help establish and grow our aviation business.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Planning, design, and construction of civil & transportation projects focused on Aviation development
• Perform and lead design tasks or projects including supervising and directing junior staff
• Prepare bidding documents (plans & specifications) including horizontal and vertical layout, site development, grading, drainage, pavement design, marking, signage, erosion control, coordination with other disciplines, water & sanitary utilities, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and construction scheduling
• Support the client manager in providing service to and developing relationships with existing aviation clients
• Perform project management and coordination of multi-disciplined tasks necessary to implement projects for clients in our aviation group
• Perform, assist, or oversee construction-related tasks including on-site construction observation and project engineering
• Assist in business development activities including prospective client outreach, submittal preparation, and community engagement
