Senior Accountant / General Ledger Accountant (Senior or Lead)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex financial processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

📍 Location : Cambridge, Massachusetts

⏰ Work Mode :  Hybrid (Tuesday / Wednesday on-site)

What You'll Do :

🎯 Prepare and post journal entries.

📊 Perform account reconciliations and flux analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements

📝 Support month-end and quarter-end close activities

📈 Work with large data sets in Excel

📋 Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements

🗄️ Assist with audits by preparing supporting schedules and documentation

What We're Looking For :

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

✅ CPA (Certified Public Accountant) License

✅ 4 years of accounting experience with 2 years of experience in one of the 4 big public accounting firms : KPMG, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Ernst & Young, Deloitte

✅ Experience preparing journal entries, preferably in SAP S4 / HANA ERP system

✅ Experience with account reconciliations month end close process

✅ Prior public accounting experience and knowledge of internal controls / SOX is preferred

Preferred Experience :
