Millwork and Stair Service Technician

SUMMARY : This role involves performing service, warranty, and quality control work for finished staircases, including repairs, measurements, and resolving installation issues. The position requires managing service schedules, effective communication, and maintaining accurate records and company resources. Success in this role demands strong organizational and communication skills, basic construction knowledge, and a customer-focused approach, along with the ability to handle physical work and a clear driving record for service calls.

OVERVIEW OF YOUR DAILY TASKS :

• Perform service and repair work on finished staircases, including repairing / replacing damaged components such as rails, treads, risers, caps, skirting, balusters, and trim
• Measure and inspect stair frames for accuracy and potential installation issues, resolving minor framing problems
• Conduct quality control checks on finished staircase installations
• Communicate effectively with builders and homeowners to confirm scheduled dates and job completion
• Manage and maintain company tools, equipment, materials, and vehicle
• Maintain accurate customer information and notes in the Job Manager program
