ALH Design Technician Trainee is an entry-level position focused on learning to design and create structural components. The role involves a training program to learn how to read blueprints, use specialized design software, compute dimensions, and prepare basic wall panels, roof trusses, and floor truss designs and placement layouts.

Compensation : $20 - $28 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Design and CAD :  Prepare basic walls, roof and / or floor truss designs, compute plan dimensions, and enter design parameters into specialized software.
• Blueprint analysis :  Read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and customer requirements.
• Plan review :  Work with experienced designers to review plans for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Production support :  Produce truss placement layouts for final construction.
• Customer and sales collaboration :  Confer with sales and / or customers to understand project requirements.
• Job site support :  Assist with on-site support when requested.
