As a member of the management team of Adult Programming, the Clinical Services Manager assists the Director of Behavioral Health and ensures the implementation and evaluation of clinical programs and departments are consistent with facilitys goals and objectives. The Clinical Services Manager assists the Director of Behavioral Health and provides management leadership and strategic planning for the Adult Programming clinical department / programs to ensure community and referral source needs are met. Provides clinical oversight of department processes and cosigns clinical documentation, as needed. Provides training and orientation to new therapists. The Clinical Services Manager will possess thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and all state and federal regulatory standards. The Clinical Services Manager will collaborate with the Director of Behavioral Health, nursing team, medical director, and Executive Director to promote a multidisciplinary patient focused approach throughout the continuum of care. Will assist the Director of Behavioral Health providing direction for the recruitment and retention of therapists, and assist with programming and services including overseeing assessments, therapy treatment tracks, therapists schedules, and supervision. The Clinical Services Manager will be expected to provide coverage and assist when case management / therapists are on leave. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Position Requirements :
- Licensure / Certification / Registration :
- LPC / LCSW, required.
- HWC, CPR & First Aid Required.
- Education / Experience :
- Masters degree in a human services field (i.e. social work, psychology, or counseling)
- Five years clinical and 1+ supervisory experience preferred with adolescents and adult populations in both residential and acute care setting preferred.
- General Requirements :
- Must be at least 21 years of age per Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services.
- Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
- Good communication skills; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Basic clerical skills, basic experience with office equipment (telephone, copy machine, fax, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to problem solve and accept feedback when circumstances warrant such actions.
- Willingness to interact with patients with varying levels of cognitive functioning.
- After hours may be required.
