job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or access. Monitor for unusual activity or potential hazards within the facility and report findings according to site protocols. Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and / or contractors, providing guidance as needed. Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies. Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and / or identification as required. Assist with emergency preparedness and response procedures as directed by site and Allied Universal leadership. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available CPR certification is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Job Description
As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Specialist in Columbus, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will be expected to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. Embracing our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork, you will play a key role in fostering a caring and people-first atmosphere while acting with integrity throughout your daily responsibilities.

What You'll Do :
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
