Primary Responsibilities
- Plan, analyze, and evaluate new and existing electrical and power distribution systems across diverse facilities and equipment types.
- Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash analysis for low- and medium-voltage systems (up to 35 kV).
- Lead and support field data collection for low-voltage systems and develop detailed electrical models to support arc flash assessments.
Primary Requirements
Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one is strongly preferred.10+ years of experience performing Arc Flash Hazard Analysis in accordance with NFPA 70E and IEEE standards.Proficiency in Arc Flash and power system modeling tools such as SKM, ETAP, Synergi, Cyme, or WindMil (other comparable software accepted).Demonstrated experience managing Arc Flash projects from initial planning through execution, including technical oversight of project deliverables.Strong understanding of current electrical engineering methods and practices.Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA 70E, relevant OSHA standards, and working familiarity with the NEC. Must also have hands-on experience with energized equipment in industrial environments and proper PPE use to maintain personnel and site safety.Seniority level
