Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic for a local client in Hanover PA. Candidates who have a background working as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.

Job Duties :

• Assists in the repair, installation and maintenance of all plant equipment and buildings with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates consistent improvement in knowledge and skills as outlined in the criteria for advancement.
• Reports any equipment or building conditions requiring repair to the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead.
• Performs preventative maintenance as required.
• Completes all documentation as required by the Maintenance Manager / Supervisor or Lead.
• Position requires lifting and handling of heavy objects.
• Adheres to common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required. Reports any safety issues to Manager / Supervisor immediately.
• Assists other mechanics in maintaining a high level of productivity in the plant.
• Adheres to the Company's plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
• Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
• Develops the ability to use the computerized maintenance management system to enter work requests and retrieve data on plant equipment.
• Must furnish your own tools as needed to perform the job.
• Requests all materials necessary for the completion of designated job assignments.
• Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to : GMP's, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
• Ensures safe operation of forklifts, electronic pallet jacks, and all industrial man lifts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager / Supervisor or Lead
