Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Government 9mm in Washington, DC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. This role requires you to carry a firearm and respond to situations professionally, while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as required.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.Conduct regular and random armed patrols both within the facility and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.Monitor access points and assist with entry control according to site-specific protocols, verifying credentials and maintaining a visible presence.Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and any unusual activities encountered during the course of duty.Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary, maintaining professionalism at all times.Participate in periodic training and drills to stay current with procedures relevant to the government location.Maintain readiness of assigned security-related equipment and stay alert to any changes in the working environment.What We're Looking For :

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable regulations.Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.Be at least 21 years of age.Possess a valid California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
