About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking experienced professionals for multiple Procurement & Contracts roles , supporting capital projects, major infrastructure initiatives, and enterprise-wide strategic sourcing.
We have three types of openings :
- Major Projects Contract Manager (Principal & Expert levels) – Lead contracts and project procurement for capital infrastructure projects, including EPC, CMAR, DB, and PDB delivery models. Negotiate complex contracts, manage change orders, and ensure quality and compliance.
- Senior Manager, Distribution Strategic Sourcing – Drive strategic sourcing and category management for PG&E’s distribution portfolio. Lead supplier governance, cost optimization, sustainability initiatives, and process improvements across multiple lines of business.
- Advanced Contract / Project Procurement Specialist – Serve as a subject matter expert in contract management, QA / QC oversight, and process improvement for major projects. Provide training, guidance, and innovative solutions to complex procurement challenges.
These roles provide the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams , including engineering, construction, legal, project management, and sourcing leadership, while managing high-value initiatives and driving procurement excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies for capital projects or enterprise portfolios.Negotiate, manage, and administer complex contracts, change orders, and supplier agreements.Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, category management, and supplier governance.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, legal, risk, and senior leadership.Mentor, train, and guide junior procurement / contract staff.Perform spend analysis, develop scorecards, and monitor supplier performance.Ensure compliance with procurement policies, QA / QC standards, and regulatory requirements.Implement process improvements and innovative solutions to optimize procurement outcomes.Qualifications Minimum :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.7–9+ years in procurement, contracts management, or strategic sourcing, preferably in heavy civil, industrial construction, utilities, or capital projects.Desired :
Master’s degree / MBA.Certifications : PMP, PgMP, CCE, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma (Yellow / Green / Black Belt).Experience in EPC / CMAR / DB / PDB contract delivery models.Strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier governance expertise.Strong leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Proficiency with SAP, Ariba, SRM, MS Office, and project scheduling tools.Experience with QA / QC, risk mitigation, cost estimating, and complex contract negotiations.
