Overview

The Tuscaloosa Association of REALTORS® (TAR) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Vice President / Chief Executive Officer (EVP / CEO) to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and innovation. Based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama , this full-time, on-site position is ideal for a forward-thinking professional who excels in strategic leadership, operational management, and member engagement .

As the EVP / CEO, you will :

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, financial management, and staff leadership
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to implement strategic initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Alabama Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®
  • Champion professional development, advocacy, and community impact

Ideal Candidate Profile :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in an executive or senior management role within a REALTOR® association, trade organization, or real estate brokerage
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and adapt to changing industry trends

    • Competitive salary starting at $80,000 annually , plus health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement benefits, paid time off, and travel opportunities to state and national REALTOR® events.

    Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience leading a nonprofit or trade association, with a track record of strategic growth and operational excellence
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building with Boards, members, and industry partners
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and experience managing budgets
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and change-management skills
