Overview
POS IT Support Specialist - Grocery Point of Sale at Business Machines Company, Inc. is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to assist customers with Point of Sale systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in technology, problem-solving, and embody our core values.
Responsibilities
- Review open tickets, handle inquiries, and assist customers with troubleshooting POS hardware and software issues.
- Support receipt printers, tagging machines, handheld devices, POS registers, touch screens, and card readers; create sale batches, run reports, reset passwords, and configure new items.
- Escalate complex issues to developers when needed and document interactions and troubleshooting steps for the knowledge base.
- Participate in after-hours upgrades and scheduled software implementations; support after-hours duties as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stay organized, prioritizing tasks to deliver high-quality support.
