Job Title : Senior Accountant

Location : Valparaiso, IN (Fully Onsite)

Salary Range : $60,000 - $75,000

Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Valparaiso. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, putting their head down, and delivering accurate, timely financial results. The Senior Accountant will own the month-end close, prepare financial statements for senior leadership, and ensure the integrity of financial records through strong attention to detail and accountability.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage the full month-end close process , including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash balances.

Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare and present accurate financial statements to senior leadership.

Partner with external auditors by providing documentation and ensuring audit readiness.

Support process improvements and maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Minimum of 3+ years of progressive accounting experience .

Solid understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.

Proven ability to work independently, stay focused, and meet deadlines.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
