Job Description

As a Security Professional Access Control Patrol in Laguna Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere at a premier commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to provide exceptional customer service. You will interact with residents and visitors, manage access badges, and utilize technology such as computers or tablets to support daily operations. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the property, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Assist with visitor management, including logging guests and providing directions or information as needed.
  • Collaborate with property management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support the overall security program at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
