Chief Information Officer

Northwest State Community College (NSCC) is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide leadership and strategic direction for the colleges Information Technology Department. The CIO will oversee all Information Technology and Institutional Research functions, ensuring alignment with the colleges mission and goals. Reporting to the President, the CIO will be responsible for budgeting, policies, compliance, and integration of IT across multiple campuses and satellite locations.

The ideal candidate for the CIO position will have a bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, with a preference for a Masters degree. They must have at least 5 years of leadership experience in information technology, with previous experience in higher education being strongly preferred. The CIO will lead a team of approximately ten IT professionals, promoting services that support innovation and exploration while maintaining reliable and secure capabilities.

The CIO will be a member of the Presidents cabinet, providing service-oriented leadership and fostering a strong customer service focus within the IT department. The successful candidate will demonstrate innovative and effective collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to take risks in pursuit of organizational goals. The CIO must have high professional aspirations and be committed to supporting the professional growth of their staff.
