At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a pharmacy technician to join our team.

The primary responsibility of Pharmacy Tech is :

• Prepares intravenous solutions and admixtures; must be able to identify variations in medication dosage forms, volume and dosing
• Maintains inventory and billing related to medications and related supplies
• Stocks automated dispensing machines and delivers medications throughout VRH and its satellite locations
• Aids in training new employees
• Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement and CQI activities
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical / healthcare errors.
• Complies with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces
