At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a pharmacy technician to join our team.
The primary responsibility of Pharmacy Tech is :
- Prepares intravenous solutions and admixtures; must be able to identify variations in medication dosage forms, volume and dosing
- Maintains inventory and billing related to medications and related supplies
- Stocks automated dispensing machines and delivers medications throughout VRH and its satellite locations
- Aids in training new employees
- Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement and CQI activities
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical / healthcare errors.
- Complies with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces
An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalentCertified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferredOne (1) year related pharmacy experience preferredHigh integrity, able to follow proceduresAbility to be a self-motivated learnerExhibits professionalism at all timesMin : $21.00
