job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in a Level III Trauma Center as part of the hospital's nursing float pool Care for patients in ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, ED holding, and rehab units depending on assignment Patient diagnoses include respiratory failure, GI bleeds, DKA, sepsis, post-ops, CVA, and more ICU assignments have a 1 : 2 patient ratio based on acuity Assigned to 12-hour day shifts with varying weekends depending on unit needs Uses Epic EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing Floating between units within scope of practice is required Two days of hospital orientation and one day on the assigned unit provided Telemetry competency assessment required Must adhere to professional dress code; scrubs of any color except camo are allowed Hourly rounding, bedside report, patient education, and use of white boards are expected parts of daily duties Customer service, teamwork, and positive attitude are highly valued Compliance with hospital policies regarding medication safety and documentation is required First-time travelers are welcome to apply No holiday time-off requests; up to 5 days of approved time off available No personal phones allowed on the unit and breaks are mandated Active WA or compact RN license in hand Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent and invasive line management, ostomy, drains, and trachs Epic EMR experience preferred Ability to float to PCU, Med-Surg, and ED holding units as needed High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
