Open Competitive; Entry is via application process. This position is a Cooperative Agreement position working with the Department of Military Affairs.
Responsibilities
- Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers.
- Analyze and resolve hardware, software, and communications problems using diagnostic software or technical troubleshooting processes; triage, resolve, and / or escalate automation issues at the G6 / DMA Helpdesk (St. Augustine, FL).
- Establish methods and procedures for the use of distributed computer systems including hardware, software, communications and end user training.
- Manage DMA email and distribution listings across the state; create mail and user accounts for DMA employees and other personnel supporting the mission.
- Serve as Tier II support when needed.
- Administer Host Base Security System (HBSS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans and remediations.
- Track Cyber Tasking Orders and Network Bulletins for Cybersecurity.
- Manage and work Army Enterprise Service Desk queue (AESD).
- Maintain 5140 / 8570 work experience and certification compliance for system / network administrators.
- Track and report Annual Army Access Validation (AVS), IA Cyber Awareness, and Army User Agreement.
- Leverage systems to identify and manage credentials for authorized devices and users, manage remote access and access permissions.
- Provide information security input to the Senior Managers Internal Control program.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security issues; ensure audit logs are implemented, reviewed, and documented.
- Update and manage Inspection Program for Command Readiness Inspection (CRI), including managing inspectors, travel, and uploading to ENGIS; track issues and trends and update inspections accordingly.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or equivalent; AND four (4) years of professional experience with endpoint security operations, information security and network security or related field. Education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.Attain a minimal Tier 1 Federal Security Clearance Background Check.Must have a CompTIA Security+ Certification or attain the required certification within 6 months of employment.Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge and methods of data collection and analysis; information security and risk management, server technologies, Windows 11 vulnerability scanning and patching.Knowledge of data processing and computer programming terminology; experience administering Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Azure; experience with PowerShell.Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work; communicate technical data processing information effectively; establish and maintain working relationships; install, troubleshoot and maintain office automation equipment; solve problems; translate complex technical issues into business implications.Benefits & Conditions
