Banquet Captain - Rusty Pelican Miami

The Banquet Captain is responsible for directly supervising the specific events they are assigned to. The Banquet Captain will also be responsible for the planning, set up, execution and tear down of each specific event's operations during the day of the event.

Job Duties :

• Responsible for overseeing the banquet staff during banquet functions to ensure that all details are carried out according to the client's contract.
• Verify set up to ensure it follows the specific Banquet Event Order.
• Responsible for greeting guests prior to the event and assist the banquet staff throughout the event.
• Responsible for the preparation and presentation of the Banquet check to the client at the conclusion of the function and ensures that proper payment is rendered. Oversee cleanup and breakdown of banquet functions and accounts for all equipment and supplies to ensure they have been returned to the proper storage facilities.
• Handle any complaints the guests may have and bring it to the Banquet Manager's or Assistant Banquet Manager's attention in order to resolve.
• Must wear approved manufacturer certified slip resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working
• Participate in and pass alcohol awareness and safety training classes
