Senior Maintenance Manager
The Senior Manager of Processing Maintenance leads the maintenance strategy, people, and performance of Chobani's processing operations at the Twin Falls plant - the world's largest yogurt manufacturing facility. This role drives asset reliability, equipment optimization, and preventive maintenance excellence to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The successful candidate will be both a strategic leader and a hands-on coach, developing teams, systems, and processes that support Chobani's mission of making better food for more people.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of maintenance managers, supervisors, and technicians across multiple process areas. Coach, mentor, and build a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
Own the preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all processing assets (including fermentation, blending, CIP, and utilities support systems). Develop long-term strategies to increase uptime, extend asset life, and reduce unplanned downtime.
Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and EHS teams to ensure that maintenance practices align with food safety, quality, and safety standards.
Lead and support improvement initiatives using TPM, Lean, and root cause analysis methodologies. Measure and improve key metrics such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure), MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), and PM compliance.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, capital projects, and cost controls. Provide input on capital project design and implementation to ensure maintainability and reliability of new equipment.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and food safety requirements. Maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) data integrity, work order management, and reporting accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field required (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of maintenance or engineering experience in a large-scale food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience leading maintenance or reliability teams.
Proven experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs.
Strong understanding of automated process systems, PLCs, and industrial utilities (e.g., ammonia refrigeration, steam, air, water).
Demonstrated success in leading large teams, driving engagement, and building a culture of accountability.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization.
