Overview
SuperiorX Investigations (Command Investigations) is seeking qualified, driven, and experienced candidates to join our special investigations unit as an ACP Investigator. SuperiorX Investigations serves insurers and defense attorneys throughout Michigan, with the Assigned Claims Plan (ACP) unit expanding to meet growing demand for quality investigations, including gathering critical information, conducting special investigations, examining coverage / loss, and combatting fraud. The ACP team provides services for medical, wage loss, attendant care, replacement service, and survivorship claims generated through the Michigan Assigned Claims Plan (MACP). We have several open positions and are looking to add two to three efficient, effective investigators to our high-performing team.
The ideal candidate will be self-directed, organized yet flexible, responsive to feedback, detail-oriented, able to operate independently and as part of a team, and comfortable engaging with people of diverse backgrounds in pursuit of the facts. Prior investigative, claims, and legal / law enforcement experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct subject interviews; obtain field statements from related parties and witnesses.
- Pursue and review relevant police, court, and medical records.
- Perform spot checks, scene investigations, neighborhood canvasses, and insurance canvasses.
- Complete reports for investigations directed by a supervisor, recording findings clearly and concisely.
- Manage own schedule within investigative timelines and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a personal caseload and handle cases from start to finish, prioritizing based on case and client needs.
- Balance field work and desk work, with approximately 40% field time, travel based on proximity to home base, and potential cross-training in additional investigation types.
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to analyze information, develop logical questions, and report findings in a specified format.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.Excellent time management and organizational skills.United States Citizenship.High school diploma or GED.Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.Willingness to travel as needed, including assignments outside of one's geographical area.Preferred Qualifications
MACP experience.Adjuster / PIP claims experience.Prior experience as a private investigator.Prior law enforcement or legal experience.Experience in automobile or medical insurance, research, court, or law enforcement records.Benefits

Investigators are paid on a bi-weekly basis. They receive an hourly wage based on experience and qualifications, with overtime paid at time-and-a-half for anything over 40 hours per week, once fully trained and when available.
