Midland University, a small private liberal arts school in Fremont, NE is seeking an Academic Affairs Administrative Coordinator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and wants to play a key role in supporting faculty, students, and campus-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Be the go-to resource for Academic Affairs
- Provide direct administrative support to the Chief Academic Officer (CAO); assist directors and deans as needed.
- Serve as the first point of contact for faculty, students, staff, and other stakeholders seeking help or information.
- Maintain a current and accurate repository of academic policies, forms, and resources.
- Manage travel arrangements, schedules, and budget lines for Academic Affairs staff and job candidates.
- Oversee communication with the online bookstore.
Lead and coordinate signature events
Chair planning committees and bring events like Commencement, Student Awards, and New Faculty Orientation to life.Coordinate logistics-food, space, set-up, and schedules-for faculty and Academic Affairs events.Support faculty hiring and onboarding
Partner with HR to create and maintain faculty files.Collaborate with deans and the Chief Academic Officer to write and process adjunct contracts.Communicate with job candidates and help them navigate the hiring process.Track Academic Affairs employees in HR systems to keep records up to date.Collaborate with the Registrar's Office
Work closely with deans to build and update term schedules, assign classrooms, and maintain course details in Anthology.Support transcript review and other cyclical academic processes.What We're Looking For
