Description :

Deliver nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses.

Establish nursing care objectives and define nursing interventions.

Provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.

Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.

Note changing conditions and needs and reevaluate care objectives.

Assure quality care by adhering to professional standards and organizational policies.

Maintain cooperative relationships among healthcare team members.

Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection control protocols.

Document patient care services accurately in records.

Keep patient information confidential and alert team members of potential breaches.

Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.

Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.

Modify patient treatment plans based on responses and conditions.

Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.

Instruct individuals or groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, and management.

Perform nursing care by reviewing providers' orders and communicating the nursing care plan.

Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.

Maintain standards of professional nursing care.

Resolve patient issues by conferring with involved parties.

Promote a culture of safety by maintaining awareness of patients' safety needs.

Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, and documenting their conditions.

Administer medications, wound care, and various personalized interventions.

Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures as needed.

Explain treatment procedures to alleviate apprehension and verify understanding.

Demonstrate IV therapy competency, including care for central lines.

Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and respond quickly in emergencies.

Supervise and delegate duties to unlicensed assistive personnel and other staff.

Ensure compliance with relevant standards regarding patient safety goals.

Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill the organization’s mission and values.
