Salary : $90,000 - $110,000 + annual bonus

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing apparel brand seeking a Technical Designer to join their team. This is a hybrid role that requires being in the office two days a week in San Diego.

Role Overview

The Technical Designer will be responsible for transforming design concepts into production-ready garments. Acting as a bridge between creative and production, you will oversee fit, construction, and specifications across multiple apparel categories. The ideal candidate has experience working with performance sportswear and plus-size lines, is detail-oriented, digitally savvy, and confident in leading fittings and vendor communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical packs with measurements, construction details, and grading specifications
• Conduct and lead fit sessions on dress forms and live models; adjust patterns and recommend construction updates
• Collaborate with design, product development, and sourcing to maintain timelines and ensure design integrity
• Provide clear fit comments and approvals to vendors, ensuring product quality and consistency
• Work across categories, including activewear, ready-to-wear, dresses, jackets, tops, bottoms, and jumpsuits
• Evaluate fabrics and finishes for impact on construction and fit
• Partner with international vendors and internal teams to resolve technical challenges
