Electrical Controls Engineer-Des Moines, IA

Position Overview

We are a top Des Moines based manufacturer developing machinery diagnostic software seeing an Electrical Controls Engineer. This person will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various electrical equipment and automated processes. This position requires a strong understanding of control theory and practical experience with HMI and PLC programming to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for electrical equipment and automated processes
• Program and configure PLCs and HMIs to meet project specifications
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure functionality
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to integrate control solutions into existing systems
• Prepare technical documentation including system specifications, test plans, and user manuals
• Provide support during the installation and commissioning of control systems
