ZF Axle Drives Marysville, LLC in Marysville, Michigan, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant that manufactures axle drives for Stellantis. The facility offers ample growth opportunities and maintains a workforce of 500+ dedicated employees. With two main areas—assembly and machining—the Manufacturing Engineer will focus on the assembly area, collaborating closely with the maintenance department. Their primary responsibility will be providing on-line support for the assembly lines and enhancing their efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining production line performance and related problem-solving activities.
• Responsible for planning, testing, and assisting in the implementation of preventative actions on production lines to establish and verify capable and stable production processes in terms of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Responsible for non-critical changes in production processes in cooperation with product engineering, assembly engineering & systems support where applicable.
• Investigate and recommend resolution to issues associated with non-conforming parts.
• Assist 8D investigations or similar corrective action processes derived from product and process audits, internal quality investigations, or customer complaints.
• Develop and maintain reject and teardown procedures.
• Track PDCA items related to fallout and follow up to task owners on progress.
• Coordinate product / assembly engineering tasks or projects at the manufacturing plant level.
