SEC Financial Reporting Manager

We're looking for an SEC Financial Reporting Manager to lead our external reporting, technical accounting, and compliance functions. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the SEC Financial Reporting Manager will oversee preparation of periodic SEC filings, coordinate with external auditors, and provide technical guidance to the finance organization on complex accounting matters. This position offers exposure to senior leadership, investor relations, and cross-functional collaboration in a growing, global manufacturing company.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead preparation and review of all SEC filings including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, DEF14A (Proxy), and Section 16 reports.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and XBRL / iXBRL tagging requirements.
• Oversee drafting of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and related disclosures.
• Benchmark disclosure quality and transparency against industry peers.

Qualifications

Job Requirements :

Education & Certification :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's in Accounting or MBA preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.

Experience :

Minimum of 35 years of progressive accounting and SEC reporting experience. Prior experience in public accounting (Big 4) or a public manufacturing company strongly preferred. Demonstrated understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations (Reg S-X, S-K), and SOX requirements.

Skills & Competencies :

Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with SEC reporting tools (e.g., RDG Filings, Intelligize). Familiarity with ERP systems (Infor Syteline, Infor Visual) and consolidation tools (HFM, OneStream). Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for executive audiences. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
