Infant Lead Teacher
Position Summary :
We are seeking a nurturing, energetic, and passionate Infant Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for infants, supporting their growth and development through age-appropriate activities and consistent care. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of infant development, and a commitment to creating a partnership with families.
Responsibilities :
- Provide a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months.
- Implement daily lesson plans based on Frogstreet's Infant Curriculum.
- Maintain regular communication with parents about their child's progress, routines, and any concerns.
- Observe and document each child’s development and share progress during parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with licensing and safety standards.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides in the infant room.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including diapering and feeding procedures.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or willingness to obtain one within a specified timeframe.At least 1 year of experience in an infant classroom or early childhood setting.CPR / First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain).Strong knowledge of child development and positive guidance techniques.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in active play with children.Schedule : Full-time, Monday–Friday.
Location : Central Early Learning Center (9739 Joor Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70818).
Compensation : Based on experience and education level + Benefits (if applicable).
