Parking Management, Facilities, and Capital Projects Unit plays a vital role in the development, management, and operation of the City's municipal parking infrastructure. The unit is responsible for managing 8 multi-level parking garages and 30 municipal parking fields across the city. We oversee structural inspections, capital projects, contract administration, and sustainability initiatives at parking facilities.
We are seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to support the planning, design, maintenance, and inspection of municipal parking facilities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to carry out the following responsibilities :

Hours / Shift : 35 Hrs. / M-F / 7am-3pm
This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program agreed to between the City and DC37.
Some assignments may require a driver's license. Preference will be given to candidate who possess a driver's license valid in the state of New York. This licensee must be maintained throughout duration of appointment in this position. .

Minimum Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in civil engineering and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and a Master's degree from an accredited college in civil engineering.
