About the unit\n\nThe Zeeland Hospital Float Pool cross trains to Med Surg, ICU, and Emergency departments. The Float Pool offers an opportunity to learn a broader skill set and provide coverage for nursing departments. You are able to enhance your skills by working in these departments while still feeling like you belong to a team. Float pool team members must have 2 years of experience in one department to be eligible for the float pool.\n\nAbout Zeeland Hospital\n\nSince 1921, we have delivered care that's advanced, yet makes you feel at home. We have earned state and national recognition for safety, quality, and patient experience and are a Level III trauma center.\n\nScope of work\n\nDelivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. • Associates in Nursing Required\n
• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years\n
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required upon hire\n
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days\n
