Job Summary

Nidec Aerospace is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Project Manager to lead the development and execution of manufacturing programs for electric motors designed for aerospace applications. This role focuses on executing a defined project scope, meeting objectives, and delivering results within set timeframes and budgets. The Project Manager will closely work with multifunctional teams in various global locations, requiring strong project management expertise, solid manufacturing processes background, strong understanding of electric propulsion systems and high-speed electric motors, regulatory frameworks technical, and effective communication skills.

As a Project Manager with the Nidec Aerospace team, you will have the opportunity to apply and develop your expertise to launch production of electric propulsion systems for battery-powered aircraft that will enable the world to sustainably and efficiently get from point A to point B.

Nidec is the world's leading electric motor manufacturer and a true pioneer in electrification across a wide array of industries since its foundation in 1973, ranging from appliance, and energy infrastructure, to ground transportation. Nidec Aerospace is a newly created Joint Venture between Nidec and Embraer which intends to take a leading role in the Electrification of Aircrafts. We are well-positioned and excited to support the aerospace industry in its ambitious transition to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. From ideation to production, you will work with a diverse and experienced team of design engineers to support aerospace industry leaders and spearhead technological advances in transport decarbonization.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, and desired outcomes.
• Align project deliverables with organizational priorities and customer requirements.
• Efficiently allocate resources, including labor, materials, and budgets, to meet project objectives.
• Monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective project execution.
• Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them during project execution.
• Monitor risk management plans and adjust as necessary to minimize project disruptions.
• Create and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all milestones.
• Track progress, address delays proactively, and adjust plans as required.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration across teams and coordinate activities between the manufacturing plant and the sister company.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication, providing regular updates on project progress and challenges.
• Maintain frequent and clear communication with Quality organization to ensure compliance with industry quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee quality assurance processes and address any non-conformance issues promptly.
• Review and interpret customer specifications, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Provide timely feedback to stakeholders and incorporate customer input into the project scope.
• Implement process changes as required to meet project objectives.
• Recommend and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, risk logs, and reports.
• Provide detailed updates and post-project analysis to stakeholders and leadership.
