Mechanical Engineer

Atlanta Gear Works is a fast-growing, family run, highly respected leader in custom gear manufacturing and gearbox repair for industrial customers across North America.

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in gear design and gearbox repair, looking to grow with a company that values quality, precision, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, reverse engineer, and troubleshoot custom gearing and industrial gearboxes.

Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as helical / spur gearing, gearbox assemblies and other mechanical assemblies.

Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in gear and shaft manufacturing technology.  Qualifications :

Strong knowledge of gear and shaft types (spur, helical, bevel, etc.) and gear production methods (cutting, grinding, heat treatment, etc.).  Strong understanding of AGMA standards, how to apply them and appropriate uses of them.  Strong project management skills and attention to detail Proficiency with SolidWorks, gear analysis tools, and JobBOSS ERP system.
