job_description.job_card.job_descriptionCreate detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks and 3D CAD tools. Generate engineering drawings per ASME standards, including GD&T applications. Manage design documentation, BOMs, drawing trees, and 3D fabrication files in PDM systems. Prepare and release Engineering Orders (EOs) and revisions. Participate in design reviews, customer meetings, and production planning. Support hardware receiving, integration, testing, and certification. Collaborate with engineering teams and maintain effective working relationships. Perform other duties as assigned to support project success. High school diploma and 6+ years of related experience, or a 2-year technical degree and 2+ years of experience. Proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical CAD modeling / drafting. Strong understanding of ASME standards (Y14.100, Y14.3, Y14.5). Experience with 3D printing and design for manufacturability preferred. Familiarity with configuration management tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in team environments. Self-starter with strong task ownership and multi-tasking abilities. Experience supporting aerospace hardware design and documentation. Background in production planning and engineering collaboration. Ability to work with PDM systems and manage engineering documentation workflows. Mid-Senior level Contract Production

Summary
The Ash Group is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Specialist to support a leading organization in the aerospace and defense industry. This onsite role focuses on designing and documenting aerospace hardware using advanced CAD tools, supporting engineering teams through the full product lifecycle from concept to production.
Competitive pay rate at $50 per hour , medical, dental, vision, and direct primary care benefits, and, after six months of employment, a 4% matched 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting.
Duration : 12-month contract
Location : 100% onsite in Westminster, CO
